Fine arts student turning every brushstroke and paper scrap into a piece of themselves.
Jackie Lahiff is a Fine Arts Student at Old Dominion University, but has been studying and practicing art all of their life. They believe that art is used to say something larger, to display something that is beyond the artist. It should be used to create dialogue between viewers, to create a sense of feeling through the work, and to inspire those to make their own art. They say: "My work is an extension of myself. Every paint stroke, collage piece pasted, and scissor cut is done with intention. My goal is to show this level of self-expression to the world, and to bring out the same energy in others."
