Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a purchase or enter into a binding agreement with Hola Paperie. By placing an order, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

We make every effort to display our products and pricing accurately. However, we reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice, including after an order has been placed. If a pricing error affects your order, we will notify you and you may choose to proceed at the corrected price or cancel your order.

All content on this Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, artwork, and product designs, is the property of Hola Paperie or its contributing artists and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without our express written permission.

User Conduct

You agree not to use this Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site or interfere with any other party's use. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:

• Submitting false, fraudulent, or misleading information

• Initiating chargebacks or payment disputes in bad faith

• Attempting to access restricted areas of the Site

• Using automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOLA PAPERIE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PURCHASE OF ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APPLICABLE ORDER.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hola Paperie and its owner, officers, agents, contributors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Prince William County or the Eastern District of Virginia. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) USAGE POLICY

Hola Paperie is committed to transparency about how artificial intelligence tools are and are not used in our business. This policy reflects our values as a brand built by and for human artists, and our belief that the integrity of handmade, original art matters.

No AI-Generated Artwork in Products

Hola Paperie does not use AI-generated imagery, illustrations, or artwork in any product we sell, including but not limited to:

• Subscription packet contents (printed papers, stickers, die cuts, cards, and other materials)

• Shop products

• Event and workshop supplies

• Any product attributed to a named contributing artist

AI Will Never Replace Our Artists

The use of AI to generate, simulate, or substitute for the work of our human contributing artists is contrary to the founding values of Hola Paperie and will not occur. We believe that supporting women artists means paying them for real, original work — not replacing that work with automated output. When you purchase from Hola Paperie, you are purchasing work made by real people.

Contributing artists who submit work to the Hola Paperie Artist Collective represent and warrant, as a condition of participation, that all submitted artwork is original, human-made work and does not incorporate AI-generated imagery in whole or in part. Submission of AI-generated artwork is grounds for immediate removal from the collective and forfeiture of compensation.

Permitted Use of AI in Business Operations

Hola Paperie may use AI-assisted tools in limited, non-artistic operational areas. These uses do not touch the creative content of our products and are restricted to:

• Drafting, editing, or refining business communications, including emails, policy documents, and customer service responses

• Administrative tasks such as scheduling, data organization, and logistics support

• Grammar, spelling, and clarity review of written content

• Research and general business planning support

In all such cases, the final content is reviewed, approved, and takes direction from a human member of our team. AI tools are used as assistants, not decision-makers.

 

Transparency Commitment

If our AI usage practices change in any material way, we will update this policy and communicate those changes to our community. We are committed to being honest with our customers and our artists about how this brand is built.
